Half the entire final episode was spent with the animation at a standstill and the characters singing graduation formality anthems. Another quarter was spent beside Yuri’s infirmary bed, and another eighth walking to the damn gymnasium – and Takamatsu’s fate was explained in all of two seconds, with ‘oh yeah, he went back to normal and disappeared’. I hereby pledge myself in the founding of DASC (Discrimination Against Side Characters).
